Beaches and incredibly clear water in Komiža many who can not resist, but near Podhumlje there are beaches that should not be missed. Srebrna beach (in translation: Silver Beach) is one of the most beautiful and most popular beaches on the island. It is famous for its white pebbles that radiate a silver glow in the moonlight, and that is how it got its name. Mala Travna bay on the south side of the island can be reached through a macadam road from the village Marinje Zemje. It has a beautiful beach restaurant, which is perfect for a day trip. Stiniva bay has a unique appearance, and is the most popular destination of the island. It is located west of the Mala Travna bay, also on the south side of the island. It is recognizable by its two high rocky cliffs that close it. Stiniva can be reached from the hamlet Žužeca, through a steep goat path, which may take a little more than 20 minutes. Not far from the center of Komiža, on its west side, lies a pebble beach called Gusarica. Guests are attracted to it because of the additional content that is included in its environment. Besides Gusarica, on the southernmost part of Komiža stands the only beach of volcanic origin in the Adriatic. The popular beach Kamenice has a coffee bar, which turns into a night club when the sun sets.
